Hotel Africana, Kampala, Uganda, 6-7 September 2017
On Wednesday, 6th September and Thursday, 7th September, local and international NGOs, consultants and members of the public water supply sector attended a workshop and training event on solar water pumping for food security and disaster relief at Hotel Africana in Kampala, Uganda.
Our Partners Davis & Shirtliff, Draco and Adritex supported LORENTZ Channel Manager Kai Reinecke in making the two-days workshop for NGOs in Uganda a full success.
Some of the topics which were covered during the event were system designing and planning with COMPASS, automated water systems with hybrid power, ROI as well as remote monitoring with PumpScanner and pumpMANAGER.
During the workshop, the participants replaced hand pumps by small LORENTZ solar pumps and therefore saw them operating in real conditions.
The event was enriched by the speeches of UNHCR Senior Wash Associates Godfrey Peterson Baguma and Richard Ochaya who stressed the commitment of the NGO sector to use solar pumping as the go-to solution in remote water supply.
LORENTZ would like to thank their Sales and Service Partner Adritex who played an instrumental role in organizing the event.
Special thanks go to LORENTZ Distribution Partners Davis & Shirtliff and Draco for providing excellent demo systems, products and local knowledge to complete the workshop.
Due to the support of our partners in Uganda we could run a successful event and spread the awareness and benefits of solar water pumping.
